Genealogy Get-Togethers in February In-Person
Are you intrigued by the idea of starting your family’s genealogy? Then please plan to join the Curtis Genealogy Get-togethers this winter in the Morrell Meeting Room on Thursday afternoons in February from 4:30 to 6:00pm.
Each of the four get-togethers will focus on a short introduction to a different topic in genealogy research. You can come to one or come to all - the classes are for beginners. The sessions will be informal and informative and you’ll walk away with some good pointers about how to get started with your genealogy research.
The dates and topics will be as follows:
- February 2: Introduction to genealogy
- February 9: Introduction to ancestry.com
- February 16: Introduction to Census data
- February 23: Introduction to vital statistics – birth, marriage, death records
The classes will be taught by Liz Doucett, Library Director and Lynn Holland, genealogy expert and volunteer at the Library. We hope to see you there!
