Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing): Moving through Place and Story at Pejepscot. In-Person
When people talk about the history of a place, they are often talking about the history they see with one eye, a colonial one. Most people understand Brunswick's history as the history of a space defined by lines on a map separating Brunswick from its neighboring towns. Seeing with a Wabanaki eye reveals a place connected by movement and relationships. Members of the Pejepscot Portage Mapping Project will present a web-based countermap that helps us see with both eyes the wider relationships and continuing Wabanaki presence.
