Floating Offshore Wind Energy's Potential in Maine In-Person
Please join Citizen's Climate Lobby and Curtis Memorial Library for an overview of floating offshore wind energy in Maine by Jack Shapiro, Climate and Clean Energy Program Director at the Natural Resources Council of Maine. Jack will explain why offshore wind has recently been in the news, and what the future may look like for this home-grown renewable energy technology in Maine. He will go over offshore wind's potential as an energy source, the plans for manufacturing, siting in the Gulf of Maine, concerns and tradeoffs that should be addressed, and how people can get involved make their voices heard.
