Lunchtime Discussions on Death and Dying: Advance Care Planning

Lunchtime Discussions on Death and Dying: Advance Care Planning In-Person

This new, monthly series aims to offer information and exploration of options and considerations around the processes of preparing to die, and dying itself. Learning about and exploring these topics as a group reminds us that we are not alone, and it gives us the opportunity to share our perspectives and ask questions together, as we plan for our inevitable exit.

Tuesday, January 21st:

All about Hospice

Please join Kim Crabill, Community Liaison of the Hospice of Southern Maine for an introduction to the modern hospice. Have you ever wondered who uses a hospice, why, and how? Kim is here to answer your questions about how Hospice works, what it can provide, how it is funded and more. Join us to learn about this care team option as part of an end-of-life journey.

Tuesday, March 25:

Advance Care Planning

Please join Kim Crabill, Community Liaison of the Hospice of Southern Maine to learn more about Advance care planning.  Advance care planning may help you reduce stress by knowing that you are prepared for whatever the future holds for you. We will discuss the tools you need to begin thinking about and planning for future needs for both you and your loved ones. We hope you will walk away with a better understanding of why advance care planning is so important and point you to the resources you need to get started.
