This beginner-friendly lecture teaches the basics of raising and caring for domestic chickens. Whether you want fresh eggs, a fun hobby, or a more sustainable lifestyle, this session will guide you through everything you need to know.
You’ll learn how to choose the right chicken breeds, set up a coop, feed your flock, keep them healthy, and understand their behavior. We’ll also cover egg production, seasonal care, and important tips for keeping chickens safe and happy. This program will be led local chicken farmers Jennifer Queen and Jonathan Swindells and Brunswick's Animal control Officer Steven Auffant.
