Solstice Paper Lanterns (with Harpswell Land Trust) In-Person
Join us this solstice for the astronomical phenomenon that marks the beginning of winter with the year's shortest day and longest night.
The Harpswell Land Trust will teach us to make paper lanterns that we can keep and bring to their annual Winter Solstice Lantern Walk & Celebration the next day, Sunday, December 21st from 5-6:30pm (Houghton Graves Park, 1714 Harpswell Island Road, Orr's Island). No need to register for the Saturday lantern making at the library -- just drop in 10-12 noon. All materials provided, and everyone -- kids, families, adults -- are invited!
