Community Science Fun: Play with STEAM Kits on Local Climate Solutions In-Person
Join us to celebrate citizen science Spring! Help us try out some activities from our new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) Kits on Local Climate Solutions. Children, Teens and Adults are welcome. Meet us outside at a Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust property. Register to receive location details.
Happy Spring! We're so excited you've decided to join us on a science adventure. We'll be going outside and identifying and recording as many species within a designated location and time period as possible; this scientific effort is called a bioblitz. Bioblitzs are an important way to document what lives in our surroundings and provide useful data for science and conservation. Check out what folks have already found on iNaturalist.
We will be adding our observations to iNaturalist. To add observations on your own device you will need to:
-
download the iNaturalist app on the Google App Store or Apple Store
You do not need to have a device to join us or have fun on this adventure. We'll meet at Woodward Point Preserve. Dress appropriately for the weather because we will stay outside to document and explore what types of flaura and fauna we will find in a marine environment. You may want to bring layers and boots.
