Curtis Community Concerts In-Person
The Curtis Community Concert Series continues on Leap Day with a pre-concert from Noon to 12:30 on the Mezzanine with Anthony Shostak and his daughter, Una.
We then move to the Morrell Meeting Room at 12:30 for the Featured Concert: Sound Painting -- The Art of Live Composition and the Joy of Participation. This concert, curated by Mary Hunter, will be led by Frank Mauceri and feature a few arrangements from YOLA (the Youth Orchestra of Lewiston Auburn); Jim Parakilas, Philip Carlsen and Mary Hunter will play movements 2 and 3 of the Brahms piano trio in C major; and finally Frank Mauceri will do some jazz tunes with either Tom Porter.
The audience is encouraged to bring instruments and play along -- all levels of experience welcome!
