A Path to Community - Seeking to learn more about the place we now call Brunswick In-Person

Presentation by members of Pejepscot Portage Mapping Project.

This event is organized by the Midcoast Indigenous Awareness Group (Learn more at https://www.miag-group.org/).

On October 6th, members of the Pejepscot Portage Mapping Project (PPMP) will briefly share more about the Project, go over the current Google Earth database of Wabanaki places in Brunswick, and welcome audience input on how to most effectively retell the story of this place by including Wabanaki voices, stories, and histories.

PPMP seeks a deeper understanding of the history of the land now called Brunswick to include Wabanaki voices in the stories and telling of that history. The Project seeks to expand community awareness and engagement with this more expansive history and continuous indigenous presence in the region through public art, digital mapping, and community events.
