Moriah Freeman
Moriah Freeman began writing for the pure joy of it after retirement at 64. An aspiring writer since high school and an avid journaler for over forty years, she journaled through bible smuggling adventures
in communist Eastern Europe in her twenties and convent life as a nun in her thirties. After that, she practiced business writing during a twenty-five-year career as an administrator at Harvard University.
About the The Blue Room
Unable to work, sleep, or escape from the suffering, and desperate for relief, Kathryn goes to see Dr. White, a pain management specialist. Their year of therapy transforms her life. The setting for her metamorphosis is The Blue Room, an imaginary inner sanctuary where she discovers how the past has molded and imprisoned her and how she can set herself free.
William Hyland
William H. Hyland is a Searsmont, Maine native and a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. William now resides in Lisbon, Maine with his wife Summer. Bayside is his debut novel.
About Bayside:
Twenty-one year old Billy Bakeman has well-calculated plans to spend his final summer of college back home in Maine interning at his uncle's law firm. However, he soon finds himself on the precipice of a criminal investigation that will test the small-town loyalties and reputations he spent his whole adolescence believing were ironclad. The easy solution would be to let law enforcement handle the case, but Billy believes the best way to the truth is to use resources at his own disposal, even if it means taking personal risks and busting glamorous myths about the place he calls home and the people he trusts.
Regina Strongheart
Regina Strongheart has a BA in Biology and a MAT from UNH and taught chemistry for thirty years. She practices energy healing and teaches classes at her business, Forest Circles. Her business hosts programs that explore nature’s gifts and multicultural spiritual practices. forestcircles.com
About When my Mother was a Mountain
In the summer of 1996 my life took a detour during a month-long solo camping trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. My only companion was my German shepherd, Doug. It was then that some unimaginable things happened. I sensed emanations from the land, saw the ghosts of Indigenous people, and watched birds morph before my eyes. The journey led to a spontaneous transformation from ordinary science teacher into medical intuitive and healer. In my journal, I documented my near catastrophes, metaphysical anomalies, and the incredible sadness of the area.
